The Mastermind
During the development of the PPRM group coaching program, I spoke with numerous social workers and counsellors who had already started their own practice but were seeking support, community, and information during the initial stages. They often expressed feelings of isolation and uncertainty, as well as concern that their business had not taken off in the way that they had hoped. If you find yourself beyond the startup stage but still grappling with confusion, discouragement, and a sense of loneliness, this mastermind group is the perfect fit for you.
Here are the details:
We start August 15th, 2023
- ZBiweekly meetings lasting 90 minutes
- ZTuesday mornings at 10:30 AM.
- ZThe cost is $200 per month for 6 months, covering meetings, group chat, shared resources, and support.
- ZThe maximum number of participants is 6.
- ZRegistered Social Workers (RSWs) and Registered Clinical Counsellors (RCCs) are welcome.
What is a Mastermind?
It’s a small group of 5-6 new private practice social workers who gather twice a month to openly share, provide constructive feedback, and benefit from each other’s experiences, wisdom, and support. While I will participate as a facilitator, it’s important to note that I won’t be the sole “expert,” differentiating this mastermind from a traditional course or coaching program.
The small group setting fosters intimacy and safety, with the goal of establishing lasting relationships, expanding networks, and growing practices collectively.
If that all sounds a bit fluffy, let me be clear: Joining the mastermind is rocket fuel for your business. We will focus on bringing clients in the door so you can get down to the business of making money and helping people.
The Mastermind is Tailored for You if:

- disheartened watching people be let down by “the system”
- bogged down by bureaucracy and politics

Although I now work in my practice full time, that was not always my plan. Initially, I started it as a “Social Work Side Hustle”. My goal was balance, self-expression and a little bit of extra money. With time, I gained the courage and resolve to cut off the “golden handcuffs”. That may not seem like the right choice for you, but it was for me.
But I would be lying if I said it was easy.
I made mistakes. I faltered and doubted myself. And most of the time I felt like I was plugging along in the dark alone. I knew once I had “cracked the code” and had my ideal practice that I wanted to help others find their way as well.
This has been my passion (obsession?) since 2018, and I have poured time, money and energy into learning all I can about running a successful private practice. I want to share what I have learned with you. So,
I created this business because it is what I needed when I started!
How to Join:
A mastermind is only as valuable as its members. Therefore, an application process will be implemented to ensure a good fit for the program. Commitment to attendance and active participation is crucial to the group’s success.

I want to join the mastermind but I don’t have a private practice yet. Can I still join?
This mastermind is for clinicians who have an existing practice in some form, even if they are not seeing many clients or feel they are floundering. If you are contemplating or planning to start a practice please consider the Private Practice Road Map self-paced or group coaching program. Not sure? Email me or book a call.
I want to join the mastermind but I am not available at that time. Can I just watch the replays?
This group relies on attendance, presence and commitment, so being able to show up is crucial. If you want to be notified of future groups at a different time please join my email list. Also, feel free to email me and let me know what time would work better; if this group fills I may add another slot.
Will I get a certificate or CEU credits?
Nope. This is intensive, structured (and enjoyable) peer business support. It will not certify you to do anything.
Will you be covering any clinical counselling topics or teaching any modalities?
No. We focus on the business aspects of running your practice, getting clients, creating revenue and sharing resources.
Do you offer a sliding scale, scholarship or reduced rate?
At this time I am not able to offer the group for a reduced fee.
What is the investment?
Participation in the Mastermind is $200 per month for 6 months. Of course, you can write this off on your taxes as a business expense.
